What should our live video strategy be in 2022?
Should we still be embracing live video? Or should we be focussing on other things?

In this episode, I’ll be sharing how to reboot your strategy and more on what I am focusing on.

#1 Ask questions

It's important to ask some questions from time to time.

Firstly, what should our live video strategy be right now?

Should we even be embracing live video? Or are there new things we should be focusing on?

Live video for live video’s sake has never been a good strategy

Just focusing on a live video on its own is usually not a good strategy

#2 Why Live Video?

Live video as part of your content strategy is smart. And here are three great ways:

  • Community building shows
  • Content Repurposing Engines
  • Live video training in groups

#3 What do you want to achieve?

Work out what it is you want to achieve? How does live video fit into your whole strategy?

#4 Sometimes tweaking is fine

You don't need to always completely change everything. Sometimes tweaking is fine! Or...

#5 Sometimes you need to reboot and rebuild from the ground up.

Right now, I want to partially reboot.

Here are my thoughts…

Multistreaming for multistreaming's sake is not a good idea. I’ll be reducing the number of channels I multistream to in 2022. I’ll be streaming my main show to Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter. But Twitter and Facebook are going to be less important channels. I Want to focus on YouTube and LinkedIn. And a separate Amazon Live show. Instagram Lives? Maybe?

I want to be clearer about what I offer, plan my launches and products first, and build my content around that.

Here is my big list:

  • YouTube channel growth
  • At least one YT video each week in 2022
  • Newsletter is a non-negotiable
  • Look at doing community lives
  • Do Raw lives and raw podcasts. Why? Because people love raw. I know I do.
